Terms & conditions
The terms on which we provide this website, our goods and our services.
Template — complete before launch. This is a starting point only and is not legal advice. Replace the bracketed details and have it reviewed by a solicitor before you rely on it.
These terms are between you and Couteau Interiors Ltd. You can reach us using the details on our contact page.
About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website and any goods or services we supply. Please read them carefully. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Quotations & orders
A quotation is not an offer and, unless stated otherwise, is valid for [30] days. A contract is formed only once we confirm your order in writing. A deposit may be required before we begin work, with the balance due as set out in your order.
Made-to-measure goods
Our furniture is made to your specification. Measurements, finishes and colours are agreed with you before manufacture. Because bespoke items are made to order, the usual right to cancel for a change of mind does not apply once manufacture has begun — this does not affect your rights where goods are faulty or not as described.
Prices & payment
Prices are quoted in pounds sterling and [include / exclude] VAT, as stated on your quotation. Payment terms, deposits and any staged payments are set out in your order.
Delivery & installation
Lead times and fitting dates are estimates given in good faith. You are responsible for ensuring safe, clear access to the property and that the site is ready for installation on the agreed date.
Our guarantee
We guarantee our materials and workmanship for [a period to be confirmed] from the date of installation, in normal domestic use. Fair wear and tear, misuse and failure to follow our care guidance are not covered.
Faulty goods & your rights
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Subject to that, our liability is limited to the price paid for the goods or services concerned.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of [Northern Ireland], and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
